While my property manager has not responded to my email about the porch light, I'm pretty sure she got it because I came home from work this evening to find a disassembled porch light. Yes, the mounted portion is dangling by the wires from the wall and the light bulb and cover are sitting on the ground.
Whatever.
We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Wow. Hopefully that was done to install some sort of motion detector. I think you need to call the property manager to find out what is going on. What type of complex are you living in? Large or small? I would be livid about this. But it is possible that someone is bothered by your light during the day or something, and they disassembled it. Good luck.
